Why bother
Added to the home screen, Qlarify gets its own icon and opens full-screen with no browser bar — the same as any app you downloaded. It is the difference between remembering a web address at an open house and tapping an icon.
There is nothing in the App Store to download. Qlarify is a web app, so this just gives the site you already use its own icon on your phone.
Using Safari
- Open Safari and go to qlarifyapp.com.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Edit the name if you want, then tap Add.
Using Chrome
Chrome on iPhone can do this too, on iOS 16.4 or newer.
- Open Chrome and go to qlarifyapp.com.
- Tap the Share icon in the address bar. If you do not see it, tap the three dots and choose Share.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Sign in once more
Expect to sign in again the first time you open the icon. iOS treats a home-screen app as its own space, separate from the browser you added it from, so it does not inherit the session you already had. Sign in once and it stays signed in.
If you do not see "Add to Home Screen"
- Check your iOS version. Settings, General, About. Chrome needs iOS 16.4 or later for this; Safari has done it for years.
- Scroll further. In Safari the option sits well down the share sheet, under the row of apps.
- Come out of Private Browsing. The option is hidden in a private tab.
- Edit the share sheet. If it is genuinely missing, scroll to the bottom, tap Edit Actions and switch Add to Home Screen on.
Removing it
Press and hold the icon, then choose Remove App, Delete from Home Screen. That removes the shortcut only. Your account and everything in it are untouched.
A note on what to do on a phone
Everything works on a phone, but not everything is comfortable on one. Checking a campaign, looking something up between showings, asking Sam a question — those are good phone jobs. Building a listing presentation is a desk job. Add it to both: on a Mac, or on Windows.
